Madonna Place was incorporated in 1987, and since that time, we’ve been strengthening families throughout Eastern Connecticut. Our mission is to provide services which strengthen families, promote health, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Madonna Place provides strength and evidence-based programs that empower parents and caregivers to recognize important developmental milestones for children, create positive family connections, and encourage the importance of family wellness.
Working with 700 families a year, our advanced system of information technology is essential to carrying out our mission. Our partnership with I-M Technology has been integral to succeeding at what we do and to increasing the number of families we are able to serve.
Over 23 years ago, our system was a mess. Nothing was fast. Nothing was efficient. We realized we needed to reach out for professional assistance. Stuart and his team at the time helped get us out of that mess. When he started I-M Technology in 2003, we were glad to move our services over to his new firm.
Stuart and his team came in and shared their knowledge and supported our staff in understanding how to use technology efficiently and effectively. They improved our network to the point where the only downtime we experience now is during an electrical outage.
If problems arise, they are identified and resolved quickly. When something needs to be fixed, the team at I-M Technology responds immediately. This helps us carry on business smoothly and without interruption.
When COVID hit, for example, we weren’t equipped to work in a hybrid setting. All our staff had been working on-site prior to the pandemic. It required a quick transition, and we were overwhelmed by the idea of how to set up remote work for all our staff. I-M Technology got right to work, setting up laptops, coordinating remote access, and getting our staff up to speed on how to use the various applications. It was quick and virtually painless.
The way Stuart and his team handled our transition during COVID exemplifies our entire relationship with them. They always work smarter, not harder, and empower us to do the same. They also give great insight into our business and how we could potentially save money. It’s helped us make smarter business decisions, all of which have panned out well.
